What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase). When you generate study sets, we store the generated content (flashcards, crossword data, title) in our database so it can be accessed via a shareable link.

If you upload images or documents to generate a study set, those files are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) and are not stored on our servers beyond what is needed to complete your request.

How we use your information

To provide the StudyBright service (generating and storing study sets)
To manage your account and subscription
To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing)
To improve the product based on usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-party services

Supabase — database and authentication
Anthropic — AI that generates study content from your notes
Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions
Vercel — web hosting and analytics

Children's privacy

StudyBright is intended for users 13 years of age and older, consistent with COPPA requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@studybright.co.

Data retention

Study sets (including those shared anonymously) are stored indefinitely to support shareable links. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
